What this site is

Are You Rich Yet? provides free educational calculators that compare wealth, income, and projections using publicly available data. It is not a financial advisor, broker, or planner. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Decisions you make based on the tools are your own responsibility.

Data sources and accuracy

Wealth and income percentiles use public data from the U.S. Federal Reserve’s Survey of Consumer Finances (most recent: 2022) and the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Social and Economic Supplement (most recent: full-year 2024). These are survey datasets and have known limitations:

• Percentiles between the 10th and 90th are generally reliable.
• The 95th and 99th have wider error bars — survey samples are thin at the extremes.
• Projection tools use simplified math (monthly compounding, constant assumed return). Real markets are volatile; a single 30-year projection is a smooth line through a noisy reality.

The site is provided “as is” with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or continuous availability. We may update calculations, data, or content at any time. We may take the site down without notice.
